gone too soon

Like a comet blazing across the evening sky,
Gone too soon.
Like a rainbow fading in the twinkling of an eye,
Gone too soon.
Shiny and sparkly and splendidly bright...
Here one day, Gone one night.
Like the loss of sunshine on a cloudy afternoon,
Gone too soon.
Like a castle built on a sandy beach,
Gone too soon.
Like a perfect flower that is just beyond your reach,
Gone too soon.
Born to amuse, to inspire, to delight....
Here one day, Gone one night.
Like a sunset dying with the rising of the moon,
Gone too soon... Gone too soon.

my photo album

The photo album of my mind
Holds treasured thoughts of you,
And I can almost see again
The things we used to do.
I hear your voice; I see your smile;
I feel you close to me.
The photo album of my mind
Shows how we used to be.
Time may have changed us through the years.
But I will always find
You’re just as I remember in
The album of my mind.
And, as I turn page after page,
Such precious scenes I see.
The photo album of my mind
Is very dear to me.
It holds the pictures of our past
Like reels of film unwind.
I cherish all those photos in
The album of my mind.
